Visual Arts incorporates all three fields of art, craft and design. Students create visual representations that communicate, challenge and express their own and others’ ideas, both as artists and audience members.Students at Hillarys Primary are taught by an arts specialist.
In music at Hillarys Primary, students will learn about the elements of music and sharpen their practical skills by learning how to play instruments such as the ukulele and a variety of percussion instruments. Selected year 5 and 6 students will be offered the SIM program in Flute and Classical Guitar.
Our Junior and Senior choirs welcome students from years 3 to 6 to come and sing in a fun and welcoming environment. Students are given the opportunity to perform at school and larger scale events. Students will rehearse weekly, practicing more detailed skills in singing and performance.
A highlight for our school is the Term 2 Talent Showcase featuring students performing dance, music, drama and singing items.
